The 26th annual Hyundai Malfunction Surf Festival will again attract various world-class surfers both professional and amateur of all ages from around the world to come together for a truly unique international surf festival. This nine day long celebration is a tribute to longboard surfing and to those that enjoy surf culture

As well as all the surfing activities including a leg of the ASP World Longboard Qualifying Series for Men & Women, Stand Up Paddle Surfing and age divisions for the amateurs, there will be an array of out of the water lifestyle community events including an art exhibition, vehicle rally, luau dinner, movies and live music at various venues throughout the Tweed Coast. As one of the leading Pro/Am longboard surfing events in the world and with the inclusion of more events both in and out of the water the 2009 Hyundai Malfunction Surf Festival should be even better than everFor those into the Stand Up Paddle there is a surfing division with $1000 prizemoney & 2 racing divisions (Caba - Kingi) with $1200 prizemoney $600 per division
